Morning Ritual Green Smoothie
This morning green smoothie has been my staple for many years! The ingredients vary when I discover something new or want to change it up every now and again, but for the most part this is the base.
Ingredients: You can combine ant of the following liquids as a base for your smoothie. They all taste amazing!
Almond Milk (or nut milk of your choice), Coconut Water or Green Tea for extra energy
Vegan Protein, I like Bone Broth Protein as it supports a healthy gut, joints and inflammation response
1 tsp. Spirulina; this is a microalgae that provides high levels of chlorophyll and also contains iron, B Vitamins, minerals, enzymes and fatty acids. It is 60%-70% protein. You can drink this alone with apple juice or juice of choice.
1 scoop Maca Root. Maca is a natural root plant grown in Peru ( it comes in powder from as well) If your body is producing too much or too little of a particular hormone, maca can help normalize hormone levels and bring your body into balance.
1 tsp. to tbsp OMEGA 3 OIL. Omega 3 has essential fatty acids that are beneficial for hair, nails, and skin.
1 tsp. Cacao , which is a potent source of antioxidants, supporting cardiovascular health, potentially boosting mood and contributing to a healhy digestive system.
OPTIONAL- add berries or a banana.
